Student Media Tech has been helping the Student Media groups create, manage, and maintain web content since 2017. In addition to providing support and services, the department’s primary focus is to provide a real-world working environment and professional development opportunities for student staff. Corrine Nightingale

Student Media Technology Advisor

Corrine Nightingale has been with Student Media Technology since it was founded in 2017. She graduated from Washington State University Vancouver in 2015 with a degree in Digital Technology and Culture, and a focus in web design and development. In addition, Corrine completed media technology coursework and received a Digital Skills Certificate from the Berkeley Advanced Media Institute in 2018. Corrine is passionate about providing high-quality services to the Student Media community, as well as providing real-world experiences to her student employees.

Kwanmanus “Gina” Thardomrong

Student Media Marketing Manager

Gina is a Film major at PSU. Before she came to study in the US, she came across the movie Transformers: Dark of the Moon, which sparked her interest in the animation and film industry. Now, Gina is working on a short documentary and narrative video. She also loves working on motion graphics and editing a video for friends and family. During her spare time, Gina enjoys playing video games, drinking tea, and making tasty food. ⁠

George Olson

Student Media Web Developer

George is a post-baccalaureate student in Computer Science, working towards entering the Computer Science master’s program. He loves coding and looking at pretty web pages. In his free time, he likes to go to concerts, play computer games, and daydream about traveling.

Kahela Fickle

Student Media Web Developer & Interim Project Manager

Kahela is an undergraduate student working toward acceptance to the Computer Science Program. Before enrolling at Portland State, they received their Associate’s Degree in Website Development & Design from Portland Community College, where they first became passionate about web usability and accessible design. In their down time, they enjoy lending a hand with non-profit theatre productions, building creative web projects, and decompressing in nature.

Gennie is a Graphic Design Junior at PSU. Besides working in website design, she also works on animation or 2D design projects. People find her detail-oriented and flexible. Personally, she is happiest when achieving her goals and enjoying tea time.
